45 Yards with a Springer

Out on the range this morning with my Air Arms TX200 .177 Under lever

Bit of a crosswind (range flag was flapping and almost straight)

A couple of targets at 25 yards to start with and tested a couple of different pellet brands and settled on JSB Exacts.

Set the target at 45 yards (my scope is sighted in at 30 yards) so I went up 1mil dot, a bit of wind compensation and gave it a go.

Not to bad all in all

creditable indeed at 45 metres, on a breeze free day that'll tighten up more.

Duncs

I learn't to shoot in Southern Africa, never had a scope on any rifle I used at the time, which consisted of .22 Remington Nylon 66, P14 .303, FN 7.62 NATO (SLR in the UK) and a 9.3 x 62, there were other rifles but these were my staple diet, I have only started using air rifles in the last 14 months or so, and they are great fun

tbh. at 50m I wouldent be able to see where the pellet hit without a scope.

I have the same problem, but once sighted in I trust the rifle, and aim , feels pretty damn good once you see that ragged hole starting to appear

I never realised tx's came with open sights. Are they a factory option or were yours retro fitted?
