Finally, i have this stock "roughed out" :D
It's taken me an age to get this far after being poorly for a few months. I'm limiting myself to a couple of hours per day for the time being, but Im feeling a lot better.

Not much different to the last Airarms one I made apart from a smooth grip. Here are a few pics I took for the soon to be, new owner.

I dont use any stain Si, straight oil only, and only the best.......CCL conditioning oil for me (if any of you CCL guys are looking in, its about time you sponsored me with free oil   ).

I have used red root oil of Alkanet once or twice when any grain has been difficult to "show", but I steer clear of stains. I like a "honest" piece of timber and I dont have enough knowledge of stains to use them correctly so I leave well alone. 8-)

The dust is the only downside :x I could do with this that and t'other machinery. A decent fine dust collector is top of the list!

would you believe I`ve been ordered at work to provide my own `dust extraction` for my mitre saw by the main contractor safety guy! site manager tips me `the nod` mouths "speak later" & later asks me do I have a spare vacuum at home? I tell him I`ve a wee henry type wet & dry I could attach to the saw but it`s 240v  he tells me to buy an RCD adapter & bring it in Monday with the vaccum, cheers martin, £8 spent & around 400 bills saved, phew.
