furious absolXXX SORTED!!

Mon Jan 04, 2016 6:24 pm

story of my life, usually dive in make an arris of it, spend a bomb (my AA S200 being the exception here!) THEN find the limitations or just downright failures of what I buy, so,
(HOMMMMMM spread hands forward, --chill)
took my time,
read every review I could,
& they ALL SAID buy an RX 100 camera, these are the benchmark,
every camera in their price bracket is measured AGAINST the RX100,
THERE`S 4 VERSIONS OF IT & THE 4 YEAR OLD ORIGIONAL IS STILL FOR SALE NEW, IT`S THAT GOOD!
(I bought the MK2 middle of the price range one)
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
the ONE feature I ASSUMED would be built in,
the ONE feature I use more than any other on my 4 year old RICOH,
is the only feature-- INTERVAL/TIME LAPSE-- NOT AVAILABLE ON MY NEW CAMERA!
guys I`m out 400 quid here :(
it`s a conspiracy  , I know it is  , you`re all out to get me  , you`ve roped in Sony  , don`t deny it
Gutted :(

If you specified that was a function you needed, then under the Sale of Goods Act, its not fit for purpose and can be returned for a full refund.
Why be awkward, when with a bit of effort you can be really impossible!

guess what function the village idiot never mentioned to the young salesman in Jessops?
not gonna blame or point fingers tomorrow though, the fault is Sony`s AFAIC
just prayin right now they`ll change it (& the new camera takes the spare batteries I`m waiting on from Amazon!)

If you bought from a shop (Jessops) and have the receipt, most reasonable shop managers will give you the option to change your mind as long as you have the receipt and all the packaging intact (so they can re-sell it). Exception being things that touch your privates ... like LYCRA

And the odd camera lens, depending on your habits of course.

Jessops should be fighting for trade given on line competition, just be polite and maybe upgrade by a few quid. Amazon takexreturns on just about anything.

Jessops offered a refund or any other camera no questions, but, showed me this, so, that`s that sorted, & for just 14 quid too, phew.
for anyone interested in photography a bit more than just compacts or point `n shoots, seriously, check out the reviews on the RX100, it`s basically a DSLR in your pocket!

Good to hear it. I got a GoPro Hero 4 Session for Christmas. Not the same I know but the picture quality is pretty stunning. The only problem is, it's actually smaller than the box a wedding ring comes in, I can never remember where I left it. I had to phone the girlfriend to ask if I'd left it at her place the other day before my wife noticed.

:D

The ring that is!!
