Re: S510 carbine with Lane reg adjustment
Assuming nothing is leaking, sticking or broken you should be getting a much higher MV than that. With the recommended spring pressures and the venturi right out I would expect 790+ fps with your pellets. It doesn’t sound like the breech seal or transfer port seal are blown (always my first suspects...

Re: Air Arms barrel band.
Ive never had a problem with the barrel band, I just loosen the grub screws and let the barrel sort itself, if it's a problem, you can fit a rowanengineering one, and you can see a gap all around the barrel, just tighten when it's not touching, fitted one on my S400, kind of floating without the wo...

Re: Floating or clamped, pro's and con's
I agree with Tonyc about the protection, so I use the barrel band, but I use an oversize one from Rowan so the barrel floats, but can only move a fraction if it does get a knock - not enough to take a bend (hopefully ).

Re: EV2
I don't think I've ever used a gun, PCP or springer, that was spot-on first shot after being left for a day or so. Just pop off a few shots, or even dry fires and all should be well.

Re: Venturi screw
Giving the rail a clean and checking the o rings is always a good idea, but if the power is consistent, and there is no air blasting around, the 'problem', if that's what you call it, is most likely to be the tension on the firing valve spring being a bit high, ie the pot extension being a bit too s...

I'm not sure exactly what part you want to replace, but unless someone pops up on here who has actually done it I suggest speaking to Julian (bgaltd on here).

Re: S500 FAC Barrel Leak
Unless something is actually broken, the only causes I can think of are: - Breech seal - use a BS008 o ring and Molycote 55, which makes the rubber swell very slightly. - Transfer port seal - should be delrin on an FAC gun. Check and see if it is damaged and make sure it is properly seated. - Brass ...
