Re: Possible pellet wobble
well I think the pellet will tend to spirall when it is near the end of its travel and I would think that would be a lot further then 35 yds. It could be affected by pellet weight also. If you have access to a chrono that would be a good idea.

Re: Possible pellet wobble
I have not witnessed this myself but spiralling can occur near the end of travel when the energy of the spin becomes greater than the forward thrust of the pellet.
When you consider this it makes sense,

pressure gauge
Has anyone removed the manometer dog leg and successfully blanked off the hole? It seems that the manometer and its assembly is a weak point in the design of the S400 judging from posts here and elsewhere. I recently polished the hammer and rail which improved the performance of the gun but on refil...

Re: S410 FAC down to 18ft lbs
Finally got round to polishing the hammer rail and cleaning out all the gunk in the hammer, why do they put that in in the first place! Runs much better and easier to cock. However there is now a leak from the base of the pressure gauge, I emptied the cylinder before stripping the hammer rail for sa...

Re: S410 FAC down to 18ft lbs
I have never taken it apart so when it has finished this charge up I will strip it down. I don't think it will have anti tamper bolts, from reading posts on AAOC I believe cleaning and polishing the hammer rail is a must. On another level the 18 ft/lb setting is a good compromise for a Classic givin...

S410 FAC down to 18ft lbs
Hi I have a ten year old S410 classic .22 FAC which used to achieve 25 ftlbs. It is used infrequently having only shot about 500 pellets. Doing some zero checking and paper punching it was way off the usual chairgun aim points, usually they are pretty good. So put it over the chrono and find that it...
