Re: Huma s4"" reg DIY
If you noticed a difference between shot 1 and shot 20 then 40 for instance, i.e., on the point of impact and your holdover, a good reg will be an investment. My Altaros is good for me as I mostly shoot rabbits, but for HFT I would probably go for Robert Lane and have it fitted. Just asking, but wh...

Re: Winder wheel
in FT you generally have a single loading rifle as you are not allowed to walk from lane to lane with a loaded rifle or a magazine in position. If you use riser blocks as having the scope very high has advantages on the longer range shots, by reducing the amount of clicks between ranges at the long...

Re: Winder wheel
Unless you are using the scope for FT range finding then personally I would not bother with a wheel as such, outside of e.g. specialised FT scopes they are more of a fashion accessory than a practicle addition. Companies like Rowan Engineering make levers which might work given that I assume you ar...

Re: Huma s4"" reg DIY
My s410 at around the 11.6 ft/lb, what advantage will I get by fitting a Huma reg, sorry if its a silly question , but this his a learning curve for me. A reg gives a constant pressure feed from the reservoir which in theory means no matter what you have in the res, each shot will be the same. Obvi...

I would say for hunting yes use a moderator, if like me its for comp shooting there's no real need for one.

Winder wheel
When I bought my s410, I bought a BSA scope with a side winder wheel, (me not knowing any thing about scopes ) which I couldn't use because of the mag, then I was told to cut out a section of it, which I did, but found I couldn't use it because it was hitting the mag, to solve this, I placed the w/w...
