Re: Cold weather air leak!
No problem fitting the 'new' AA filler, but I'd think about the Altaros or Lane quick-fills with the pressure gauge in front, where I prefer it, and in the case of the Altaros at least, a flow restrictor which means you can just open the valve as wide as you like on whatever bottle you are using wit...

Re: Air Arms s200 butt pad
Email Brian. If you send him a template he'll probably make one for you. He did for my Steyr Hunting, and its excellent.

Re: FTP 900 question
Thanks Rog. The answer (from Shooting the Breeze) seems to be that most of the air comes from venting the hammer. The S-series hammer runs in a channel which is open to the atmosphere, but the FTP hammer runs in a tube so, if there was no vent, the air in front if the hammer would be compressed as i...

FTP 900 question
A friend of mine has just bought a second hand FTP 900. When we were trying it we noticed a very strong blast of air from underneath the action in the general area of the power adjuster and firing valve. Since there is a foam block covering where the air comes out that looks original, I'm guessing i...

Re: Firing pot length
Sorry, but I STRONGLY suggest you speak to someone like BASC. It's not a matter of opinion or logic, but of law.

Re: Firing pot length
....the police can only test the pellets which were on your person at the time and the pellets you use with your gun. They was a legal court case a few years ago which clarified this." What case was that? Both the Firearms (Dangerous Air Weapons) Rules 1969 and the Scottish equivalent use the term ...

Re: S510 barrel
There are no rules here - it depends on your barrel, your pellets and your expectations. If you are happy with your groups, there is no need to clean whatever. Judging by when the groups start to open out and talking only about my own guns (yours may be different) my Steyr needs a couple of VFG pell...

Re: Range master sovereigns 10.3
If no one knows for sure, Daystate themselves should be able to help you. I believe they are made by JSB, allegedly from special dies, but they look like JSB Heavies which have a BC of around 0.03. If you use this as a starting point you shouldn't be far out and BC's vary from gun to gun anyway, so ...

Re: Interchangeable parts?
The S400 and 500 series, including the Ultimate Sporters and HFT500 share a lot of parts as mechanically they are all based on the S400. In general, stocks, cylinders, triggers, most firing valves, springs, seals and some barrels are interchangeable, as are quite a few other bits. I suggest you spea...

Re: Walnut TH stock
Have you considered the Customstocks CS700 or CS800? Both excellent stocks and about the same price new as you would probably have to pay for a second hand AA thumbhole walnut job.
